I’m ready to book a shoot, what’s next?

Fill out the book now form, and you will immediately receive an email asking you to book your in person consultation. A $250 deposit is due when you sign your contract, which can be at your consultation to after it, and we take all major credit cards and email transfers.

Where do the shoots take place?

In Fort McMurray, shoots are done (by appointment only) at our studio in Thickwood, located at 124 Marten Place, Fort McMurray, AB T9H 4M5

It’s a home studio, so no hotels, which makes a more relaxed session.

I’M WORRIED ABOUT ACNE/CELLULITE/STRETCH MARKS. DO YOU OFFER RETOUCHING?

Retouching is included with every session. I remove scars as requested, acne, blemishes, stretch marks and cellulite in addition to bruises and other random marks you may have on the day of your session!

I don’t “take off 15 pounds!” I work with clients to find the most flattering poses and lighting to highlight their best features. If there’s something you feel particularly self-conscious about, let me know.

I’M OLDER THAN (NOT AS THIN AS, ETC.) THE WOMEN ON YOUR WEBSITE. DO YOU THINK I CAN STILL HAVE A GOOD SHOOT?

Absolutely! Every woman is different and I work closely with you to create a #UniquelyYou Experience. I regularly work with women over 40 and up. As you can understand, not everyone I work with wants their photo on my website, so you may not see someone who looks like you. But I photograph women of all ages and sizes. The women on my website are real women just like you who went through makeup and hair, put together thoughtful wardrobes and trusted us to help them create sexy, beautiful images. We can do the same for you. Boudoir photography is for EVERY woman.

ARE MAKEUP AND HAIR INCLUDED? CAN I JUST DO MY OWN AND SAVE MONEY?

Every session includes full makeup and hair styling. Getting your makeup and hair done sets the tone for your session. It gives you time to relax, get to know us better and feel pampered. But more importantly, having a professional do your makeup means they know how to do camera-ready makeup that will truly make you feel and look boudoir sexy! Honestly, you will want to have a professional makeup artist go with you everywhere once you experience this luxury! If you have a very specific hair style in mind, or ethnic hair or simply want to come with your hair fully styled, that is fine.

Makeup and hair take an hour to an hour and a half on average. The photographic session takes as long as it needs too. Usually no more than 3 hours.

HOW LONG WILL THE SESSION TAKE?

Many photographers limit the amount of outfits. I want you to bring everything. Show up with a giant suitcase. I want no regrets. We won’t get to every outfit, but I want you to have all the things you need.

HOW MANY OUTFITS CAN I WEAR?

I encourage clients to primarily bring their own selection of outfits. That’s the best way to ensure everything fits really well and that you love the way you look in your outfits. If the finished product is a present for a significant other, they always want to see you in the sexy outfits. I do have a small selection of body suits, as well as a massive tulle skirt.

DO I BRING MY OWN LINGERIE? DO YOU HAVE SOME I CAN USE?

This is by far the biggest concern for my clients! Don’t worry – as I’ve said before, I work with clients through every pose during their session. Note that posing will NOT feel like just another afternoon of lounging around on your bed. I tell my clients that if the pose feels a little weird, they’re probably doing it right!

There are classic poses that most clients want to incorporate and new poses that clients wants to try. And I try to find several new poses for each session.

I DON’T KNOW HOW TO POSE. I’M NOT A MODEL. HELP!

Two weeks after your session we will get together for your image reveal. You will get to see a selection of images from your session. You will be able to choose from these images what you want to purchase.

If you purchased digital files, they will be made available upon payment via instant download by online gallery.

If you’ve purchased other items like an album, canvas or prints, we’ll go over your order together and you will see a proof of the item before it goes out to be created and delivered to you. Usually a month later your gorgeous purchases will arrive at your doorstep.

Need something sooner? Let me know when you contact me – I may be able to rush your session images.

WHEN WILL I SEE MY SESSION IMAGES? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET EVERYTHING BACK?

In a way, my packages include a built-in payment plan and this works for most clients. I take payment for your session fee and package over the course of several weeks to months depending on how far in advance you book your session. Part of the session fee is taken at the time of booking and your remaining session fee balance isn’t due until the day of your session. In addition, you can purchase a package on the day of your session or at your image reveal.

I do offer no-interest payment plans that extends the payment window to 6 months – this is a great way to purchase the Collection of your choice. I personally love paying for my “fun” indulges (like purses!) this way so it’s a fun purchase AND a painless purchase!! Please talk with me about a payment plan if you’re interested in setting it up. I do not deliver any products until full payment has been made.

DO YOU OFFER A PAYMENT PLAN?

DO YOU OFFER nude PHOTOGRAPHY?

Yes, I do offer semi nude, and nude options during sessions. I just choose not to display this on the web. Keep in mind that I will only photograph tasteful nudes – if it’s outside my comfort zone I will let you know. It’s my goal that you look back on the photos and feel good about them years from now. And not that you look back on them and feel weird about having shown something you wish you hadn’t!

I’m Engage. When Should I Book My Shoot to RECEIVE products before the wedding?

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!! You’re engaged! Bridal boudoir sessions are extra special because they celebrate the beginning of one of the most important stages of your life. For all my clients, including those interested in a bridal theme, I recommend booking a session for 3 months before the desired date of product delivery. So, as soon as you’ve decided you want to go on this journey with me as your boudoir photographer, book your session! No matter how early on it is.

Ha! Here’s something I bet you didn’t think of – when it comes to stripping down in front of other women, we are ALL a little shy. We’ve been accustomed to a society where women often put other women down – but that stops here. I am your biggest fan and will make you feel comfortable by being your friend, your cheerleader. I will reassure you of how beautiful you look, how well the colours we chose accentuate your skin and how STELLAR the pictures are looking throughout the shoot. I may even let you peak at the back of my camera to see for yourself!

I’m Pretty Shy. How Do You Expect Me To Strip Down In Front AND Feel Comfortable Enough To Look Sexy?!

The photographer prides herself on taking only one client per day. However, If you are running late, please call and give us a heads up. The makeup and hairstylists will be on time, so if you fail to let us know you are running late, they may leave.

If I am late will I still get my full shooting time?

Absolutely. We require a minimum of 7 days notice to reschedule a shoot.  If you contact us to reschedule less than 7 days before your shoot, you forget about your appointment or you reschedule more than twice, your retainer is not transferable. When you sign your contract, we block off those hours to work with you, thus turning away people interested in shooting that day and time.

If I can’t make my shoot date, can I reschedule?

Due to the custom nature of photography, the session price and any products ordered are non-refundable. You have final say on the retouching and any custom album design and nothing goes to print without your approval.

What is your refund policy?
